Radical Sportscars is one of the world’s leading sports prototype manufacturers, selling cars to both road and race drivers across the world. During the last 13 years, Radical has constructed over 1,000 sports cars, including over 500 examples of its best-selling SR3 model.
Radical’s five-car range includes the flagship SR8, powered by the company’s own-design 2.6, 2.7 and 2.8-litre V8 engine. The compact, lightweight crankcase assembly for this is machined and finished entirely in-house by Radical Precision Engineering, alongside the fabrication of all Radical chassis, suspension assemblies and many other components. Radical Precision Engineering’s engineering skills were also essential to the success of Radical’s SR9 Le Mans Prototype, which has contested the 24 Hours of Le Mans five times since 2006 with outstanding mechanical reliability.
“Radical Precision Engineering have been an integral part of Radical’s success and growth; without their commitment to quality, swift product delivery and intuitive thinking, we would struggle to produce the volume and standard of sports racing cars that we build today,” says Radical co-founder Phil Abbott.
